One year has already passed since I left NIC and I am having a great time here in UK. English and study skills were not the only things NIC taught me. What NIC really taught me was "the joy of learning", the enjoyment of learning something new. Through Japanese education, I knew the facts, I remembered all the numbers and equations, and I felt like I was learning what actually happened was that a few days after exams, I didn't remember almost anything. This was because I didn't think and I didn't enjoy learning. At NIC, I had to think all the time, I had to ask myself and I had to have opinions. It was all new experience to me but it was so much FUN! And I realised this is learning, this is learning is supposed to be.

Going to NIC will be a big challenge for you, maybe the biggest one in your life, but it'll be one of the best. I can be sure about it, because it was for me.

I am grateful that NIC's OSAKA branch gives more opportunities to young fellows and more people here in Osaka and Kansai are able to study in such a great environment. "Hard but tanoshii in Osaka!"
