プレースメントとは
NICには、全米・カナダの大学への留学をサポートするプレースメント（大学編入）システムがあります。
これは、カウンセリングにより希望と適性を考慮して最終希望校を決定、NICの学生として推薦し、希望大学へ入学・編入するシステムです。
プレースメント課程の特長
各専門分野で優れた大学が数多くあります
建築を学びたいのであれば、ウィスコンシン大学、シカゴ大学、メリーランド大学、宇宙工学ならコロラド大学、心理学ではネバダ州立大学やオレゴン大学、芸術や教育学のインディアナ大学…というように、全米・カナダには各専門分野で優れた大学が数多くあります。このような大学への進学希望者のために、ネバダ・カリフォルニア州以外の大学へ進学したい人のためにプレースメント課程を設けています。
アドバイザーと相談しながら進路を決定します
プレースメント課程では、日本で1年間、英語力とアメリカの大学で学ぶためのスタディ・スキルを身につけ、その間にプレースメント・アドバイザーの管理する過去のデータや各校からの最新情報をもとに、適性や本人の専攻希望にあわせて進学先大学を決定します。プレースメント・アドバイザーと相談しながら地域、生活環境、専攻、学費なども含め進路を決定できるのが特徴です。
難関大学へも門戸が開かれています
プレースメントシステムにより、これまでに全米・カナダの250以上の大学への進学実績があります。各大学の入学管理局とは密接な連絡体制があり、また本学の教授陣からの推薦も行われているので、通常個人や留学斡旋機関による入学手続きに対して門戸を開いていない難関大学への入学・編入も可能です。
また、他大学への進学者も、NICの学生として、留学期間中のサポートはもちろん、就職部による就職活動の支援が同様に受けられます。
履修単位は各校へトランスファーできます
日本で取得した一般教養科目の履修単位は、全米・カナダの各校へトランスファー（移行）することができ、進学先大学で残りの単位を取得すれば卒業できます。プレースメント課程の学生も、1年後、ネバダ州立大学リノ校、カリフォルニア州立大学チコ校等での「サマーブリッジ・プログラム」を受講して各大学へ転籍します。NICには、全米・カナダの大学への留学をサポートするプレースメント（大学編入）システムがあります。これは、カウンセリングにより希望と適性を考慮して最終希望校を決定、NICの学生として推薦し、希望大学へ入学・編入するシステムです。
